Allyson Green (USA) is a choreographer and visual artist who was based in New York from 1986-2001, and joined the University of California, San Diego in 2003. Her company, Allyson Green Dance, has been presented to critical acclaim in Austria, Brazil, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Estonia, England, France, Hungary, Latvia, Macedonia, Mexico, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Venezuela, and throughout the United States including yearly seasons in New York since 1993. She has been awarded support from the Joyce Mertz Gilmore Foundation, the Jerome Foundation, The Fund for U.S. Artists at International Festivals, the U.S. Department of State, The National Endowment for the Arts, The Rockefeller Foundation, the Pew Charitable Trusts, CEC ArtsLink, and ten fellowships from The Suitcase Fund, with major funding from the Rockefeller Foundation.

Her work has been particularly influenced by two decades of choreographic research in East/Central Europe, and ongoing site-specific collaborations with light artist Peter Terezakis exploring the intersection of art and technology. Recent projects include residencies in Ireland and Latvia, performances in New York and the International Arts and Ideas Festival, and continuing collaborations with Lux Boreal Contemporanea Danza in Tijuana, Mexico. She served as the Artistic Director of Sushi Performance and Visual Art from 2003-5, and was named one of the outstanding arts leaders in San Diego on 2004 by the Union Tribune.
